Call for showcase artists : La Grande Rencontre and OCFF

Folquébec is inviting artists to submit their application to participate in two separate showcases. A jury will select a total of 5 artists who will have the opportunity of playing:

  • During the festival La Grande Rencontre, in Montreal, Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16, 2009 (afternoon performances). Each artist chosen will have a 30-minute showcase on the stage of Théâtre Calixa-Lavallée (Parc Lafontaine), 125 places. http://espacetrad.org and http://granderencontre.com
  • During the annual OCFF conference (Ontario Council of Folk Festivals), Friday, October 16, 2009 (noon). Each artist chosen will have a 20-minute showcase in a hotel suite at the Crowne Plaza in Ottawa where the OCFF takes place. http://ocff.ca
